Vision Statement:
To move Godward, by Spirit led worship and the enforcement of the Word of God in the earth through prayer and preaching. To raise up a generation of apostles, prophets, and evangelists. To prepare this generation for the work of their ministry. We want to see a mighty move of God in these children and teach them how to get into the presence of God wherever they are. We want to see the fire of God fall on these children and draw them into deeper relationship with him.
Children’s Pastor: Nichol Hofmann
I have been a River member for 26 years. My Momma brought me here in 2000 when I was just 8 years old. I grew up in our Children’s Ministry that started in a little garage that sat right beside the Old Chapel. I remember singing in our children’s choir and then being baptized in a horse trough outside when I was 12. I naturally progressed into the youth group and joined the signing team when I was in the 7th grade. I remember being filled with the Holy Ghost for the first time at a youth event that we attended at Victory Hill. This church, these Pastors and this family has helped shape me into the very person that I am today. GOD DID THAT!
I met my husband Jason in 2011 and brought him here to The River. Pastor Paul married us in 2012 and we have four beautiful blessings, Addison, Lucas, Micah, and Raelynn. Motherhood was (and will always be) my main ministry and for years God blessed us so that I could be home with them. I often thought about what my life might look like after all our children were able to be in school and prayed that God would make it clear to me what came next. I was offered the Children’s Ministry Director position in July of 2025, the summer right before my youngest started Kindergarten. God’s timing is ALWAYS perfect! I have been a part of the Children’s Ministry since my teen years, helping in the classrooms and then moving up to teaching, and becoming a team leader. This next step was a natural progression and I am passionate about serving our young kids, families, and volunteers.
It has been a joy to see how God has shaped this Ministry over the years and I am blessed to be a part of it. My heart is after God’s own heart. Although I am far from perfect, I am often thankful that God’s grace is sufficient. I strive to learn more about Him every day and in every opportunity I can because I’ve learned that as long as I am here on this Earth, there is ALWAYS much more room to grow. God is good. He is gracious. He loves us far more than we deserve, and he’s always seeking after our hearts.
