Health & Wellness Education

mug_krystalKrystal Foster is a Registered Nurse who graduated from Mount Carmel College of Nursing in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  She started her nursing career at Mount Carmel East, most recently working in the Cardiac ICU at the Heart Center. Currently she is a Disease Management Nurse focusing on Heart Failure, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD and Coronary Artery Disease. Her vision is to see the church family healthy in all aspects; spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically.

The classes focus on how to modify your diet, what the Bible says about being healthy, and why it is important physically. In addition to that, total “wellness” is a focus. Exercise, prayer, fasting, social support, and recipes are all important pieces to support holistic health.

Health and wellness (HAW) classes are offered at least once a month; date and time vary depending upon attendee's schedules. HAW classes are always FREE and open to the public- feel free to bring friends or family!

The HAW group also enjoys social gatherings, fitness nights and outings centered on health and wellness. Keep an eye on this page for upcoming classes and events!
